Yes — at checkout, fill in your employee’s (or multiple registrants’) information under the registration fields, then complete the billing and payment forms. If you have three or more employees to register, we offer group discounts. (You can link to a group registration page here if desired.)
What does the DOT Annual Inspection Training Online include?
Our annual inspection training (also referred to as CVIP — Commercial Vehicle Inspection Program) covers essential parts of the FMCSR, including:
Part 390 — Definition of a Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV)
Part 393 — Lighting, Brakes, Chassis, Fuel Systems, and more
Part 396 — Inspector Qualifications, Inspection Reports & Recordkeeping
Appendix G — Minimum Inspection Standards
Qualification Form
This is a self-paced course. You can take your time to complete each section (in sequence), and with a single registration, you’ll retain access until the entire curriculum is finished. There’s no re-payment if a section needs to be retaken. Once you successfully complete the course, you’ll receive your certificate.
If I complete this course, can I conduct inspections?
Upon finishing the course, you’ll receive a certificate of completion and a qualification form. To be fully qualified to perform inspections, we recommend (or require) one of the following in addition to the course:
One year’s experience as a mechanic or inspector in commercial truck maintenance
Experience in a fleet maintenance or motor carrier maintenance environment
Be sure to keep both the certificate and the signed qualification form as documentation of your qualification.
Is this course recognized in my state?
This course is based on FMCSA and DOT regulations, which apply nationwide. However, individual states or agencies may impose additional local requirements. The qualification form we provide satisfies FMCSA standards, but you should verify with your specific state or agency if additional certifications are needed.
Do I receive a certificate when I complete the course?
Yes — you’ll be provided with a digital version of your certificate, which you can download immediately after course completion.
Does the course cover trailer inspections and brake systems?
Yes — both trailer and brake inspections are fully included in the curriculum.
Where can I access inspection forms and stickers?
Once you complete the course, you'll receive the standard DOT inspection form as part of your materials. Stickers (decals) can typically be purchased via Amazon, commercial parts suppliers, or other retailers.
Will I be issued a certification number?
We provide a digital QR code that links to your certificate. A separate certification number is not required; the report number used in your inspection is created by you at the time of inspection, not pre-assigned by this course.
